Bright Colors, Happy Students!

My students need a color printer in our computer lab. Due to budget cuts, and our color printer no longer working, this is a high need.

My Students

We provide a safe, nurturing place where students can learn and feel respected. Our school consists of a very diverse population culture-wise. About 40% of our students go home to speak a native language other than English. We have a 86% free and reduced lunch rate. Our school is a project based school in which we work hard to integrate subjects into meaningful long-term projects. Our goal is to offer engaging, yet challenging, STEAM activities to better prepare our students for the challenges they will face in the future.

We celebrate successes and great attendance with Terrific Kid assemblies and Student of the Month.

My Project

Our school needs a color printer for various reasons. Once a month we celebrate Student of the Month and Terrific Kid. We need to print out the certificates. If teachers feel a need to motivate and congratulate students for goals reached, we need a color printer to print out additional great looking certificates. Teachers occasionally select games to print that meet our standards based learning, or pictures of activities at school we are proud of to post on bulletin boards for parents to see.

A color printer will allow us to increase engagement, pride and visual aspect of certificates, games, student research, and posted student activities for parents to see.

all of these things are much more motivating in color rather than black and white.
