My Students

My students live in rural western New York. Many of these students benefit from the choice of flexible seating. Flexible seating allows for positive student movement so students can remain focused because their body is in a comfortable position. Think about how many times you reposition or move around during the day. Many students don’t have the option to sit someplace else. Your gift would allow busy first graders to learn in a comfortable way. Please consider supporting our struggling students.

My Project

This year I have implemented flexible seating into my classroom. The seating balls will encourage students to use core muscles and minimize wiggling. Scoop chairs, bean bag chairs, and all-weather mats have been some of the things used I’ve used in the past. This summer I plan to work with struggling students to minimize regression. The phonics program will allow me to reach children in alternate way. The chart paper will be useful to make anchor charts for student reference across the curriculum. With your help, I can help get the resources needed to be more successful and have fun ways to sit around the room.
