My students need to breathe purified air throughout their day in our busy classroom. We need an Air Purifier. They need to be healthy in order to do all the things that will make them successful.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 26 students are rambunctious 2nd graders that have built a strong learning community with each other and their teacher. They enjoy reading, writing and math. Every morning we have a team builder which unites the class together as a family. They get along with each other and work well together in small tier groups. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 90% of our students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the Bronx.
My Project
My students are in need of fresh clean air throughout their day in the classroom. My students are productive 2nd graders in a lower economic school in the Bronx. The air quality is high for pollen and known allergens. Some of my students are sensitive to this especially for the asthmatic and allergic students in the class.
There is concern for mold, mildew and spore buildup due to a flooding a few weeks ago.
It damaged the area rug where my students read. This has affected the productivity in the classroom.
