Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Through this comprehensive training, I will become equipped to teach inclusive and trauma-informed yoga classes to my students as well as design and facilitate wellness and social-emotional learning practices, workshops, and professional development programs for my staff.

I will start a morning meditation and yoga group.

This will give my students an opportunity to start their days off in a positive way. It will also teach them skills they can use throughout the day to help them handle anxiety, stress, and peer conflicts.

I will provide professional development to my staff so they can implement social-emotional learning techniques in their classrooms.
