The students that I teach are an incredible group of kids. They are hard workers and always eager to try new ideas to benefit their learning. Our students come from a low income community. Our school is both a STEAM school and a Title I school.
Our students passions are incredible and invigorating.
They work hard, put forth great effort, and are always eager despite lacking in resources. Their potential is amazing. Many of my students are ESOL students, many of whom were displaced from Hurricane Maria, I am hoping to better meet their needs through the use of individual technology. These kids are amazing and driven. Given the right tools they could be unstoppable. Please help them obtain the tools they need.
These materials would aid my students directly in class. The Breakout EDU kit would allow for all of my students to work collaboratively to a common goal. I am hoping to employ this with whole class novels and topics.
Our school has a large population of ELL students and this would enable them to participate despite the language barrier.
In addition to the Breakout EDU kit I am asking for a start of a Spanish library for my classroom. I am hoping this will help to develop student's love of reading. Some of our students speak no English and have just come from Puerto Rico. These books would allow for me to give them a more engaging education and it would foster their confidence.
