Breakout Middle School Creativity With Breakout EDU Boxes!

My Students

Active, exhausted, curious, bored, childish, maturing, lovable! These are the conflicting characteristics that make up my middle school students! We have 180 days together to build relationships, cover curriculum, complete required assessments, and have fun!

My adolescent learners benefit from moving around the classroom, thinking creatively, and hands-on activities that allow them to learn from their experiences.

Classroom variety keeps their interest and motivates students to work as a team for the best result. The more "doing," the more "learning"!

My Project

Breakout EDU kits will make my classroom a learning escape room! Students will work in teams, which will increase teamwork and collaboration. Critical thinking skills will be required to decipher the codes to break open the locks.

I have prepared breakout adventures for each of the Math 6 VA Standards of Learning to coordinate the math learning with the problem solving required to breakout of each of the boxes.

The Breakout EDU kits will encourage the application of math skills while developing creativity and leadership. At the end of the year, my students will breakout of my classroom as more creative, flexible, problem solvers!
