Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a Title I school where we have scholars with the potential to break boundaries. They have beaten the odds of their environment and persevere on a daily basis.
Their determination and eagerness to learn more is not only encouraging and motivating to me as a teacher, but an attest to their grit and character.
It is my privilege to work with them all on a weekly basis in challenging their learning and supporting their drive for a better future!
My Project
One of the best ways to enhance learning is by not saying anything at all. Allowing students to discuss, think, adjust their ideas, listen to others, and defend their ideas and views is a powerful and essential part to learning in this day and age.
With Breakout EDU kits my students will experience this and so much more, especially since I am able to incorporate STEM activities from the STEM resources & kits.
The collaboration, and schema searching will allow all students to participate and contribute in these challenging complex tasks. With a common goal in successfully breaking out students will have pushed beyond their limits both socially, and academically contributing towards their readiness to be college and career ready.
Creating an atmosphere and environment that is both functional and supportive towards creative thinking is essential. Flexible seating chairs allows for groups to be formed and various learning settings to take place. By providing elements to create a flexible environment students take ownership and pride from the very beginning.
