Our classroom is made up of a group of enthusiastic learners that are very excited to learn. They absolutely love competitions and to play games as much as possible. In addition, they enjoy problem solving and puzzles.
My students have positive attitudes with a strong desire to learn each day.
They enjoy being able to solve problems in exciting ways. When their minds are engaged, their brains are actively learning and taking in information.
The student population of our school is made up of 75%+ low-income, and 1/2 of the students in our classroom are reading below a 5th grade level.
My students have loved the escape room challenges that they have participated in this year. Students will be given clues to unlock a variety of locks (combination, letters, directional, key) which in turn opens a case which leads to a few more clues, and finally a smaller case which when the code is cracked a prize is hidden inside.
I’d love to use the Breakout Edu kit as another tool for students to work together cooperatively in order to solve clues all while using critical thinking skills to crack the code!
This kit will be used in a variety of subject areas (Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies) to both preview and review material.
