Breaking The Code In First Grade

My students need Botley The Coding Robot & Action Challenge accessory Pack to help my students get more exposure to coding in the classroom.

My Students

I have the best job ever. I get to start each day with high fives and hugs. My students start each day with such joy and excitement. I teach at a very high poverty school. Most of the students receive free lunches and take home backpacks of food on Friday.

In spite of the hardships that many of these students have been through, they still come to school smiling and ready to learn.

My hope for their future is that they will see that they are destined for greatness. I want them to realize that they can rise above anything life throws at them.

These students amaze me daily. They make teaching the most rewarding profession and teach me as much as I teach them.

My Project

My students have been using beginning coding in the classroom and they are taking off. The students are wanting to use coding technology everyday in workstations and incorporated into lessons.

The excitement is growing with every new thing that they are learning.

Having Botley The Coding Robot in the classroom will allow more students to have access to coding technology.

The students would be able to use Botley to complete coding task and to enhance collaboration within the students. Botley will be used to help teach problem solving and team building. This coding technology

can be used along with skill posters to help practice and review skills in reading and math by programming Botley to move to the correct answer on the poster.
