Ms. Mire from Slidell LA is requesting educational kits & games through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a breakout kit to "breakout" of traditional learning styles. Help them say goodbye to the typical worksheet and hello to the collaborative and creative. Who knew being logical could be so fun?
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My school is a large Title I school where eighty percent of the students live below the poverty line. My students are racially, academically and economically diverse. Yet they are also hardworking, enthusiastic young people full of potential and possibilities. They have lots of life and energy. They love to learn, especially in new and exciting ways, and they recognize that they are part of a larger, generous community. Please consider helping me to make this their best year ever!
Breakout challenges are all the rage. Why not bring these experiences to students by creating breakout rooms where academic puzzles must be solved for students to "escape"? Besides, what child doesn't want to escape from school even if it is only figuratively speaking?
Well, these challenges exist thanks to a company called Breakout.edu.
Therefore, it is my goal, with your help, to purchase a breakout kit and receive a year's worth of online access to software that includes already made and easy to make breakout rooms. What kid wouldn't love a lesson where they had to beat the clock by solving puzzles and breaking their way out of school?
