Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from all areas of our beautiful planet, they are hard learning and appreciative students that are happy to be here in the states. Our school strives to find a leader in all its students. Their capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure to the right environment or motivation.
My students strive for excellence.
They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects. They speak and write in different languages, such as Farsi, Spanish, Chinese, Nepalese,etc..
My objective for these wonderful students is for them to reach their full potential by speaking, reading and writing in English with the use of Technology-based devices or dictionaries, books to read,
therefore mastering reading, writing, and speaking.
My students mostly live with other family members twice removed. This, in turn, doesn't allow them to have the opportunity for economic growth or having the money to buy school.
The integration of activities in problem-solving, and critical thinking skills using Chrome books or laptops is something that will allow students to have fun while they master the English curriculum. As a teacher, I hope to satisfy this hunger for new learning l
My Project
Struggling readers will often pick up a comic book because the pictures and visuals are less intimidating than a typical book, if they can pick up a kindle, nook or computer, they can choose visual ebooks or graphic novels, or applications that will encourage them to read and also for vocabulary use... Also, it will give me a chance as a teacher to get them motivated to give them that extra reading time that is suggested by experts in class. The classroom is not only about grammar and lessons it is about life lessons though we can't go outside of the boundaries of a classroom it can still be used to go outside the boundaries a creative imagination.they can also be used as excellent resources in the classroom such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, and texts.
