My Students

I teach 5th grade and my homeroom consists of a wide range of learners. I have students on education plans or behavioral plans, students who are English language learners, students who receive speech services and more. These students are with me during a block titled Extended Intervention. It is my job to give the students an opportunity to enrich their learning, but not teach something new.

My hope is to provide these students with a more hands-on, enrichment centered curriculum which will keep them motivated and interested in the curriculum.

Using Breakout EDU seems perfect for this time of the day. My students will be given the opportunity to think more critically and be better challenged in school.

My Project

My kids need a change from the daily routine! This change will allow them the opportunity to be creative and use critical thinking skills while collaborating with their classmates . Breakout EDU would be perfect for this! Breakout EDU is similar to the escape rooms, the difference being Breakout EDU takes place in the classroom. Students need to solve a variety of clues and challenges that will eventually lead them to a locked box. They will need to find keys or codes in order to unlock the box. The clues and challenges include over 700 academic topics in all subjects.
