Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In our classroom, we don't do EASY. We make easy happen through HARD WORK and LEARNING!
I have the privilege of teaching some of the most amazing kids on the planet, in one of the very best schools on the planet.
We are striving every day to become better than we were yesterday.
They have a lot of challenges, but they continue to be hard-working, creative, and determined. Our school has a very high poverty rate, almost 90%, and a very high English Language learner population, almost 75%.
My Project
I have created reading response questions and breakout activities for many books based on entrepreneurs and inventors. We need these locks and lock boxes to make this activity happen!
Economics and Literacy shouldn't be boring.
Help me make these lessons come to life for my students as they participate in an exciting breakout activity.
Students will read books from the Food Dudes and Toy Trailblazers series. They will learn about these entrepreneurs and inventors and use that knowledge to open all of the locks in the activity. They will also practice their reading skills by answering questions about the books on paper.
