My students need the Mimio Pad II to interact with the Mimio Teach, that I recently was honored to receive from a previous funded project, from anywhere in the classroom.

My Students

I am a special education teacher working at a low-income school. My students are very energetic and curious. They learn best visually, with a hands-on learning approach. At times, we don't have access to the same resources as the general education class due to limited funds.

I work with students with special needs, ranging from learning disabilities to autism; they all have a thirst for learning.

Our school has a diverse population and culture with a wide range of needs. Our student body is a melting pot of local and military families.

My Project

I was recently honored and received the Mimio Teach which turns my whiteboard into an interactive learning zone. The Mimio Pad II interfaces with the interactive whiteboard and allows the students to respond and interact with the presented information on the board anywhere in the classroom.

This device will allow me to move around the classroom.

The students will be able to interact with the information right where they are, pass around the Mimio Pad II and not necessarily block the information on the board due to the position of my projector.

Besides me modeling and teaching, the students now become the teacher and share out their knowledge and information. A great device and teaching tool to help my students increase their communication skills as well!
