I teach Special Education students in grade K-3. We work on reading, writing, math, and behavioral skills. Most importantly we all strive to “Be Brave and Never Give Up!”
Many of my students have difficulty with their short term memories or have difficulty staying on task.
Activities that are colorful and kinesthetic help to maintain their attention and increase their learning. They also need breaks to move around and to use their very creative minds. We love to move and learn!
My Project
I teach students who need extra help and specialized instruction in reading and in math. The students I work with are in grades K-3. My students learn best in small groups with hands-on activities.
Due to their difficulty with remembering and/or staying focused, they need to complete the same engaging activities over and over again.
They also need breaks for creative thinking and movement. Some of the students also have difficulty with their fine motor skills and appreciate alternative ways to learn which do not involve writing. We become a very close team in my room where we support and encourage each other. We appreciate you helping us to reach our learning goals together with the use of the requested building set, sorting activities, and games.
