Brand New 4th/5th Grade Band for Military Children

My students need trumpets and reeds to get them started. All of my students are new to playing an instrument. If they have good working materials, they are more likely to stay with it.

My Students

I now have 30 brand new 4th and 5th grade student's that are extremely excited about learning to play a band instrument. They have watched their older piers in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade strive all year performing in various competitions and recitals while they continue to ask me if they can do the same.

BCA has decided to give me the opportunity to expand to 4th grade.

These are little guys with very big expectations. I could not believe how excited they were to get started.

My Project

My students are all military dependents and as many of you know, most of their new adventures deal with leaving friends and sometimes family behind when mom or dad receive orders to move to a new duty station. The beginning stages in learning to play a musical instrument is a "new adventure" in itself. My number one goal is to make sure they have a positive experience in these beginning stages.

By donating to our project for new trumpets and reeds, you will not only help to improve the positive aspect of their experience, you may also help them find the first love of their lives.
