This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Have you ever watched a REALLY cool video and learned from it? Help me get my students excited about learning through the FUN and EDUCATIONAL Brain Pop video series.

My students are ELL and ESE 5th graders.

We are a title 1 school where 85% of our students are on free and reduced lunch. A majority of our parents come from single family homes as well as homes where English is not the primary language spoken. With the difficult struggles my students endure outside of school, they still arrive at excited and ready learn!

My Project

This year the fifth grade classes at our school have been invited to participate in a pilot program. This program has given each student access to a personal laptop for classroom use. Brain Pop would be a wonderful addition to our new digital curriculum. Having the Brain Pop digital program in my classroom will allow my students to learn about Science and Social Students in a fun and engaging way. My students will be able to learn at their own pace and, if needed, to watch the videos again before taking the quiz at the end. The videos will also be a good starting point for class discussions. I feel this will help them be successful with science and social studies.

I would really appreciate any donations possible.

I feel my students have to work extra hard based on their backgrounds. Your donation will help their educational experience be positive.
