My Students

By the end of the school year I want my students to become readers who love reading for learning. One way I can challenge them to make this happen is by giving them the proper information.

My students are young and eager to learn about the world.

Learning new concepts in math, science, and non-fiction reading is something that is very intriguing to them. Although they are only in Kindergarten I believe it is a foundation to their love of learning and education for many years to come. Our school is in a small rural town in southwest Ohio. We have a supportive and collaborative school that is welcoming for all students.

My Project

My students will use the BrainPop Jr. subscription and the Time Magazine subscription during different parts of our day. We will use them as a whole group sometimes to discuss a topic and they will also use them independently to further their knowledge of topics in math, science, social studies, reading, and health.

My project will make a difference in my classroom because students will be able to access non-fiction text and information that is not typically available to them.

We do not have a lot of resources for science, social studies, and math that are interactive for students.
