My students need Brain Quest workbooks to practice new skills.
My students come to school everyday with big smiles on their faces, even if they didn't get any breakfast that day. Sometimes they are wearing the same clothes from the day before. Many of my students are struggling with the monumental task of learning English. But these kids are resilient and ready to learn. Their tenacity and curiosity pulls them to new heights.
They don't have many advantages, but they DO have imagination.
They imagine themselves being successful students, but they need help to realize their aspirations.
The students in my class need an opportunity to practice new skills. Our school has limited funding, which means that quality materials are hard to come by. The Brain Quest activity books are an excellent resource that allows students to practice the skills we are learning.
Students will use these interactive activity books to work in partners or small groups.
They will be able to organize their thinking and be creative with their responses. With extra processing time, students who struggled initially with a concept will begin to see patterns and make connections. I will be able to review their Brain Quest work and decide what I can do next to help them succeed.
