My Students

I have a great group of first graders who are eager to learn. I teach at a low-income school just outside of Topeka, KS. They work hard and always try their best, but sometimes lack the necessary skills and materials to be successful. Additional materials and experiences will help accelerate their school success. I work in a preschool through sixth grade elementary building. We use a traditional school year. My school is located in a suburban/rural area just outside of our capital city.

My Project

These puzzles and games will be used frequently in my classroom. I am in need of more materials that the students can use individually during math and reading stations while I am working with small groups. Most of these materials can also be used during my small group time, especially the 100 grid!

By allowing the students to use hands on materials, they are able to engage their brains more and develop more complex thinking.

These fun materials will keep them engaged, while also learning needed skills. When we can use materials that are both fun and educational, it makes for a much happier student!
