Brain Power Building Using LEGO Bricks!

Help me give my students Lego Building Bricks to stimulate their imaginations! LEGO are great for building brain power!

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Mertin's classroom raised $955

My Students

My first-grade students love learning, playing together, and being involved in activities. They enjoy reading picture books, building towers, drawing, and listening to stories. I love opening my back door to let them into our classroom each day anticipating what they will share and learn from each other.

My Project

Students will use LEGO sets at school during STEM activities. There are many benefits to building with LEGO bricks! Concentration is required as students build projects. Students will not even realize they are using so much brainpower! In addition, their brains will be trained to see things in a new way. If one way doesn't work, then there's another way to try it. For students who have a difficult time relaxing, LEGO sets will encourage them to wind down their brains, which can release serotonin, a great hormone that gives a feeling of happiness.
