My Students
My classroom has the unique privilege of serving a gifted and talented student population of our campus. Our classroom is a learning environment that continuously adapts and evolves with every new idea, deep thought, and conversation. Every day as we delve deeper into our topics to further explore, students often get new ideas and make connections that excite them. They want to know more, explore more, and do more. As their GT teacher I want to provide them with every opportunity to do so.
My Project
This year our class is learning how our minds can be challenged and "tricked" through optical illusions, brain teasers, puzzles, and games.
Our class loves challenges and we are excited for this year's learning! Our project includes several optical illusion books including "Magic Eye:A New Way of Looking at the World", stop motion movie kits using Stikbots and Legos, Rubik's cubes, and logic games.
While we can study and learn about how optical illusions and brain games work using apps and images online, my students would greatly benefit and deepen their understanding of how it all works by using these materials and truly experiencing them.
