My Students
My students are extremely intelligent and hard working. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.
Many of my students are having a difficult time adjusting to online learning.
Many depend on worksheet packets and whatever books they have at home. Some don't feel comfortable to come on camera or feel comfortable navigating the computer. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.
My Project
These snacks will be able to provide my students with the brain fuel that they need to stay focused during online learning. These snacks will also provide my students with a sense of familiarity and comfort as they are adjusting to online learning.
Most of my students are having to fend for themselves throughout the day because their parents are essential workers.
These snacks will allow my students to have something readily available to eat throughout the day for themselves and their siblings. These snacks will make it easier for my students and their parents as they are adjusting to their new normal.
