Brain Fuel and Mental Wellness

My Project

High school students need a little extra support to get through the day sometimes. The KHS counseling center is a safe space for students to go for help, counseling, or just to relax and re-energize. To help make this space more welcoming for students, we like to keep snacks and drinks ready for students who might need them.

The snacks and drinks in this project will help my students be successful in school.

Many of my students do not eat 3 meals a day, which can lead to challenges in the classroom and mental health struggles. When students do not get enough food during the day, they can have difficulty regulating their emotions and focusing on classwork. By providing snacks when needed, I can help my students to spend more time focusing on their studies rather than their hunger.

The other items in this project will be used to provide the best therapeutic support to our students. The workbooks will be used in individual counseling sessions to improve mental health.
