Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the pleasure of working with beautiful and bright bilingual students! My students are hardworking, responsible, and determined to succeed! Our school is a Title I school, which limits the resources available to us.
Despite the challenges they face daily, our students come to school ready to learn!
We are in a dual immersion classroom and feel so grateful to be able to learn in Spanish and English every day. My students know that their knowledge of two languages will help prepare them for the 21st Century workforce.
I want my students to know that anything is possible with hard work. All of my students know that after high school comes college! Please help us encourage that idea by helping enhance our classroom environment.
My Project
As an avid learner, I have witnessed first hand how important a snack can be to staying focused. When we get hungry it can be hard to think about anything else. The last thing a student should worry about is food. It can interfere with learning and make it hard to focus, especially during school.
Having snacks like animal crackers, applesauce, pretzels, and fruit juice would help my students stay focused on their learning and enhance their engagement in the classroom.
I want my students to have snacks, in order to help them stay fueled and ready to learn!
These snacks will be available so that those who might've not had anything to eat, or not enough, will be able to have something to eat. They will also be able to get snacks during their breaks and recess. This will help to ensure they are ready to learn.
