This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I have a class of six wonderfully bright preschoolers who love to play, learn and explore. My hope for this project is to encourage this learning process by providing them with new toys, sensory items, and engaging experiences overall.
It has been said that the act of play is brain-building, and I would like to support this with new centers and activities in the classroom.
The project features a number of items that will be used for this endeavor. The sensory materials and organizing bins to create individual sensory bins for tactile learning. The science tools and the cause-effect toys such as the earthquake kit and the engineering coaster will help supplement our classroom's science lab and upcoming science units. Additionally, the fine motor toys added will not only help strengthen fine motor skills but also provides pre-literacy learning experiences. Furthermore, the handbells, and boom whackers, will be used in our upcoming music study next month; and the laminating sheets and sheet protectors will be used to create supplementary learning materials that will be used for years to come.
In summation, these toys and materials will be extremely beneficial to my kiddos, and I will be so thankful if this project is able to get funded. Thank you in advance!
