Help me give my students brain-building activities! We are in need of family counters, Magna-Tiles, Squidz, and bristle building block sets for us to use to build our brains in the morning.
Do you remember all the engaging ways that you learned in kindergarten growing up? The students in my classroom love to be engaged by using activities that are hands-on and fun. They love to say they are playing but we know that they are really learning.
The students in my class are from Southwest Missouri and come to us from many places around the world including Kenya, Pacific Islands, Somalia, Burma among many other areas.
These students are respectful and grateful for all the opportunities in the classroom. I am so excited that I get to be part of their education journey!
My Project
My children absolutely love to build and we are running out of items to build in our STEM center. We would love some more items. When asked what the children would like they wanted people counters, Magna-Tiles, bristle blocks, and Squidz so that they could build even more items.
The children love to build but in our building, we are limited in what we have to use so this project is very important to us.
By building with STEM students learn to collaborate, be creative, build critical thinking skills, learn how to problem solve as well as build oral language. These are all areas as kindergarteners that we love to build upon and this project would help do that in 10-20 minutes a day! What a difference that would make for our children emotionally and socially.
