Help me give my students items to use during daily brain breaks! We need Barbies and Polly Pockets and Unicorn toys for the little girls to play with during brain breaks!
It has been the best honor of my life to work with the students who have social/emotional needs who qualify for special education. I am a special education teacher for grades 1st-5th. I work specifically with students who have a diagnosis of Emotional Behavior Disorder.
The past few years there has been a trend of more and more little girls needing social and emotional services.
I am now needing toys and items that little gals love to come and play with in my classroom when they need focus breaks throughout the school day.
My Project
Thank you for taking time to read about my classroom needs. This school year I have the highest number of girls needing mental/brain breaks throughout the school day. I am needing to add to my toy collection. I would love to be able to have toys that my little girls would enjoy playing with. Currently, when the gals come down they only have dinosaurs and LEGO to play with. They are losing interest in the Hotwheels. I have put together a project that includes all the interests of many of the students that I teach. I would love to put together bins with items they would thrilled to play with and use such as Barbies and Polly Pockets. These items also support my students in the area of social skills as they interact with other students.
