Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have dreamers, leaders, mathematicians, and friends in our classroom family. I work in a Title I school where there are amazing students and teachers. Despite it all, we are blessed to be able to provide the opportunity for learning and rebuilding in our school. This is the spirit of our school, students, and families.
It will be a new year with amazing and excited first graders.
I hope to instill a love for reading! I hope to have some amazing, bright, and creative first graders! I want my students to be excited about our reading, technology, writing, science, and math centers. I want to give them the tools to be successful first graders!
My Project
We are starting a school year. These basic supplies will help our classroom have a head start. Some of my students are able to bring school supplies. I have some students who are not able to afford the supplies. I also wanted the materials to be uniform. This would help our classroom sort out our take home folders and students will be ready to take them home. I need the materials earlier so that I can get some materials like homework expectations, sight word lists in the folders and parent information. These essential supplies will help us get organize right away.
School supplies like folders, pencils, glue sticks, Elmer's glue and sharpies are used daily in our first grade classroom.
Some materials like glue will be used all year within our centers in art, creative projects, and gluing our own personal touches on our notebooks. This allows for my students to show their personality and personalize their materials. I am excited to begin another year molding, challenging and building relationships with my first graders. These school supplies will help us prepare for the new year with a bang.
