Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a class in a public school of very kind 9-10 year olds who are very excited about stations/centers. Our class is in Texas in a growing district with a mixture of family types. These kids are experiencing new technology in our world around us. This Snap Circuits Jr. Electronics Discovery Kit will create a science center that is useful all year long. Math & science games can help improve skills and fluency speed. We'll be able to easily organize them in the IRIS Portable Project Case with Buckle.
It's important to help these students better their math skills now, and these supplies for centers will help motivate participation and encourage mastery.
I am lucky enough to have kids that say they like math & science. One thing that gets them excited is centers and activities.

Having classroom centers in math and science is a new concept for some of my students.
Their curiosity and growth is feed with these games and activities in centers in many ways.
Some students love math, some need to get motivated and some are learning how.
At all levels my students love math and science centers. Sometimes an activity is were the learning happens and their light bulb finally comes on. We will also learn about the responsibility of maintaining these centers. Which is why it's so important to have these boxes to organize everything.
You can't close the achievement gap you have to work on the opportunity gap.
These supplies would provide my students a richer classroom environment to better their opportunities for success, happiness and enjoyment.
