Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are individuals who come from diverse backgrounds and attend a Title I school. They are talented, although many do not realize it yet; because for some high school is their first exposure to an art class that uses a variety of media.
During this pandemic, my students have been left without supplies.
Many without the proper technology that they need in order to complete work. Currently, the work for them to complete is available online and we communicate with chats. My students are trying their best, but this is a very overwhelming situation for them.
My Project
This binding machine will allow me to make individual workbooks/sketchbooks that I can deliver to students. This way they are still able to work from home during this time.
All the materials on the list will help make the workbook/sketchbook look professional and can be something that they can use even next school year.
Once the school year returns, I plan to continue to make the workbooks for students. The students will also be able to use the binding machine to make an end of year portfolios or presentation manuals for class assignments. Students would also be able to use this machine to make various fundraiser products personalized calendars, agendas, etc.
