My students need these bouncy bands to help them to fidget in their chair. This will help my students with ADHD focus on their work while being able to let out some of their energy!
I teach learning support students in grades K-2 that amaze me every day with their desire to learn. They are wonderful, caring students who have a wide variety of needs. Most of my students have specific learning disabilities and spend most of their day with me in the learning support classroom.
I love that I am lucky enough to have some of my students for more than one school year.
We create a great classroom community because we get to spend so much time together.
Charleroi is a low-income/high-poverty area. Over half of the students that I teach are faced with several challenges every single day. The time that we spend in our classroom is spent engaging in meaningful learning experiences. I strive to provide the students with a safe, happy environment to grow, learn, and have fun.
My Project
My classroom has a lot of students with ADHD needs in it. I am always sure to incorporate activities with movement throughout the day, but sometimes this just is not enough. The students need a way to safely and quietly fidget and let out their energy.
I want to provide my students the opportunity to fidget and help them focus on their work.
They just need a little extra help focusing when they are required to sit at their desk and do activities.
There are many ideas out there for helping students fidget and focus. I feel that bouncy bands will be the best fit for my classroom. The bands are quiet and very subtle! Students will be able to fidget without anyone even knowing.
