My students need flexible seating. My students would use the balance ball as another seating option that allows them to move and wiggle but still staying focused.

My Students

I have a classroom of 18 Second graders. I work at at Title I school in Central Maine. My students work hard at changing their fixed mindset to have a growth mindset, persevering through their challenges. My students can be truly inspiring with their work ethic and the growth they strive so hard to make. I have a very diverse group of learners, with many different needs. I want to help them meet their goals any way that I can.

My Project

My students need to be able to move around and wiggle- yet still pay attention. My students would greatly benefit from these balance balls. It would give them a chance to choose another seating option that would help them focus.

These seats would directly benefit six of my students with a chance to help them focus.

I have students who sit on their feet and knees because they have a hard time focusing in a traditional classroom seat. These balance balls would be a huge hit in my classroom to those students! They would be able to bounce and wiggle but still be at a table and do their learning!
