When a person walks into our school, they can immediately feel the difference. Our school beams with optimistic teachers who are consistently trying to reach our students. Our school is thirty-nine percent low-income, and our teachers work tirelessly to ensure that each of our students receive the same head-start in life. Despite the odds against them, our students are energetic and hard-working.
While some students go to school solely to learn, many of our students come to school to be loved.
However, our students also hold another attribute: an eagerness to learn. With the right tools, our teachers can successfully complete the task of both loving and teaching our eager students.
My Project
After ten years of hands-on experience with students, I have learned that one factor plays an essential role in student success: CHOICE! The products that I have chosen will give my students the ultimate freedom to move their body (and themselves around the room) as they work.
While our school building was not physically affected by Hurricane Harvey, many of our students personally felt the lingering effects of the storm on their families.
Flexible seating allows our students to ease their anxiety and focus on learning by not having to stay seated in a rigid position. Flexible seating choice equals motivated, successful students!
