Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a school where 90% of students are free and reduced lunch. They come from various backgrounds. They love school and are excited to come to class where for many of them is the only place they feel safe.
My students are fun, witty and full of energy.
I want them to stay active and engaged in class. They have different learning styles and need to stay active and engaged in class. Flexible seating will allow them the opportunity to move around and focus on the amazing learning going on in our room.
My Project
Flexible seating is a research-based approach that positively impacts behavior and has proven results. Students need seating arrangements that are frequently adjusted to help them stay on task. As students' engagement increases their learning grows.
Kids love to move around and this project will help them stay active and engaged.
They will enjoy being able to learn from different parts of the room and not just stay in their seat all day. It will also give them added exercise that all children need for a healthy development. I am so excited to implement this project in my classroom with your support.
