My Students

My classroom is a revolving door. Students come in and out at various times of the day, for a variety of needs. Each student has individual goals, and my dream is for all students to meet and exceed their goals, along with becoming successful learners in their general education classroom.

Our school is a Title I school, with a very diverse population of students.

Along with that diversity comes a large span of strengths and needs. I can serve all grade levels at our school (Pre-K through 5th), so I see a variety of needs and learning styles on a daily basis in my classroom.

My Project

Our school is working on becoming an Action Based Learning school and we are trying out different forms of exercise in their rooms. I would love to have flexible seating such as these yoga ball chairs for my special education classroom to witness the results of better brain activity alongside their learning.

Research shows your brain needs exercise too!

Children can learn better when they are actively moving with their learning. I would love to provide this opportunity for my students' learning! I hope to use these yoga ball chairs and other action based materials in order to bridge the gap in their learning.
