My Students

My school is a Title I school with a large percentage on free and reduced price lunch. Our school has a large Hispanic population as well. My class is a representation of this great community I live in. This community is comprised of different backgrounds.

The students in my class are from various backgrounds, but all come together to make our class a family.

Some students have two loving parents that do homework with their child every night; some students are not sure where the next meal will come from. Some students are not sure who is going to be at their house when they get off the bus. Some students have a single parent who is doing the best they can with what they have. All of these wonderful students make up one classroom, my classroom.

My Project

For optimal student learning, students need to feel comfortable and have choice in how they work. Flexible seating is a great option for students. In my classroom students will have a choice in where they work and how they will work.

My students can already pick where they want to work and learn, this project will help them feel more comfortable with how they work.

I would love for students to have these balance balls to be able to bounce while they work. This will help them be able to focus on their learning and in turn grow in many areas.
