We live in a very rural area. My students come from many different communities in the county to create our class and school. Some of my kids are on the bus at 6:30 and do not get home until 5:00. Our school services Pre-K to 12th graders. We have kids that live on farms and go home to help parents out every night.
My students are full of energy, love reading and math, and they love school.
We work hard to get our state standards met every day. These students work hard at home as well. Many of these students are involved in other activities outside of school as well. They are involved 4-H, sports, and many more activities in the communities.
My Project
My students are always on the move. They have a very difficult time sitting still and in their chairs to focus on their work. After 8+ hours a day at school, students are all over the place. This will be very beneficial to their learning.
These wobble seats and bouncing bands will help them be able to move freely around their area without bothering the friends beside them.
My classroom is part of a modular and does not have much space for children to move around freely. These chairs and bands will allow them to move more and improve their focus.
