This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Students at my school range from 3 years old to 14 years old.
They attend a Title 1 elementary school. They are from an impoverished area. These children come to school in the same dirty uniform clothes that they wore yesterday and the day before. If an accident occurs, such as spilling milk or peeing their pants, the children typically do not have other clean uniform clothes to wear and so they continue to wear the dirty clothes to school.
My Project
With the clothes requested; the children will be able to come to school in clean, new clothing. This will give the children higher self-esteem knowing that they have someone who cares for them but also give them pride in they way they look when they attend school.
The children will feel confident in the way they look which will help raise their self esteem overall.
This will in turn help to increase their grades and self confidence. Instead of having to worry about wearing the same dirty clothes over and over again, a child will now be able to wear clean clothes and worry instead about being a kid.
