Bored No More During Inside Recess

Help me give my students activities to make inside recess less of a bore. Interesting books, coloring pages, and board and cards games will help entertain on those rough weather days where we are stuck inside.

My Project

My students are in a low-income area and are faced with much trauma in their young lives. I chose to teach here with the hopes of inspiring at least one child and making a difference in this diverse community. Because of my students' rough backgrounds, recess is must!

Indoor recess sucks, and in Utah, we never know what the weather will be from one minute to another.

Oftentimes, this will lead to inside recess which often makes students go stir crazy. Having activities like coloring, card and board games, and even a good book to read provides students with screenless entertainment options to help prevent the craze and make transitions back into learning time easier.
