Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember when there were no computers in the classroom and we struggled as teachers to get our lesson across as we used every book, map and any other resources available? Well now we can bring our lessons to life as we explore and discover using technology.

My students are a wonderful group of Pre/Kindergarteners who are always ready and eager to learn.

We are still recovering from the devastation of Katrina. Our school is located in a high poverty area where many homes are still vacant and waiting to be reconstructed. Our area is still in the process of building a library. 100% of the students at our school receive free or reduced lunch. Multiple families share single dwelling homes and don't have access to a computer.

My Project

The use of a laptop computer will allow for interactive learning throughout the classroom. Just imagine with just the click from their precious little fingers, they will be able to explore and discover new and exciting adventures across the world! They will be able to take virtual field trips with a click of a button and never forget the new things they have discovered about this wonderful world. The use of this type of technology will increase their learning across the curriculum. They will be able to move the laptop to our many engaging centers as we explore and discover new and exciting things in our classroom everyday.

Your generous donations will be making an enormous difference in the lives of my four year old students.

They will experience many adventures without leaving the classroom. They will discover and explore with a touch of a button! Please help my students move forward with the use of technology. As you know technology is moving forward with great speed help us move along with it.
