This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our K–5 students are creative, eager learners who come from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. As a Title I school, many of our students face economic challenges, yet they arrive each day with bright smiles and a hunger to learn. They are passionate about books, storytelling, and exploring new vocabulary. Many are developing both their reading and language skills in English and in their home languages, making it even more important to provide durable, engaging, and culturally responsive learning materials.

Your support will help students gain confidence in reading, expand their vocabulary, and improve language skills in a way that is engaging, interactive, and sustainable.

These resources from TPT will reach hundreds of students over the years, multiplying the impact of your generosity. Reading and language skills are the foundation for all academic success. Durable, visually appealing resources allow for repeated practice without constant replacement, ensuring consistent access to the tools students need to succeed. Laminated materials can be sanitized, shared, and used year after year, stretching every dollar further.

This project will provide a laminating machine, laminating sheets, and Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) educational resources to create high-quality, long-lasting materials that directly support reading and language development. With these tools, I can protect vocabulary cards, sentence strips, and phonics games from daily wear and tear; create reusable literacy centers for small group instruction; provide visually engaging materials for students who need extra support with reading comprehension and language and access high-quality, teacher-created TPT resources that are targeted to meet the needs of our learners, including bilingual and special education supports. By combining TPT’s customizable educational resources with the ability to laminate and preserve them, I can create hands-on activities that strengthen vocabulary, reading comprehension, and expressive/receptive language skills—meeting each student right where they are.
