My students need reading comprehension games, common core language arts standards learning center, and the boost comprehension small group learning center.
This project expired on December 25, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
"The more you read, the more you will know" is a quote I am always telling my students. They know they can learn about the world around them by reading about it.
My students are third graders from a title1 school where poverty is high and supplies are low.
My students are eager to learn about the world around them and what better way than through reading. Third grade is the time to really start focusing on reading comprehension and understanding all the elements of reading. We start off everyday with reading and reading groups. They love to read but struggle with comprehension. My class lacks reading center activities and supplies.
My students will use the reading comprehension games and common core learning centers during reading groups. The games and activities will help the students be highly engaged and collaborate with their classmates. The vocabulary games will help broaden their knowledge and understanding of the text being read. The Boost Comprehension Small Group Center activity will help my students not only with reading but with understanding what they are reading.
The reading comprehension centers will help my students with reading and will help "boost their comprehension so they can learn about the world around them.
The activities will increase their love for learning and reading.
