My Students

I am grateful to have the opportunity to make music with amazing students every day. In the early years of music class, we focus on singing, chanting, playing, and moving but students love playing instruments the most. Having a variety of instruments helps us to play a lot of different music in different ways.

Their love for instruments drives me to create new opportunities all the time.

I cannot wait to see what they can do when they are able to play fun instruments like boomwhackers!

My Project

If this project is funded, the students will be able to play boomwhackers, plastic tube instruments that are pitched to different notes. They are tapped against almost anything to produce the given pitch, floor, chair, wall, table, or even hands and legs.

These durable instruments provide even our youngest students the ability to play harmony and melody.

Students of all ages and skill levels can enjoy working together to perform a melody or playing the harmony solo. Boomwhackers can be used in an endless number and variety of activities while students learn and have fun with music in the process.
