Boom Chicka Boom! Hatching In Our Classroom!
Help me give my students an incubator so they have the opportunity to learn about the life cycle of birds through the process of incubating and caring for young chickens.
My little learners are open minded and inquisitive. They are kind and gentle people and are ready to experience all life has to offer in the classroom. They ask amazing and thought provoking questions and help each other to become the best they can be.
Each day we explore and learn about life, both inside and outside of the classroom.
They are full of life and potential. Each day their growth is apparent. They make me a better person for having been their teacher.
We would like an incubator for our class so we can learn about the life cycle of chickens. My students will have the opportunity to see first hand how chickens develop and hatch. After the hatching, students will learn to care for the chicks.
I will teach my class the parts of an egg and how the chicks develop and grow each day.
We will watch the developing chicks using the candling process.
I have done this project for ten years but last year the incubator broke and only one chick hatched. I'd like to continue giving my class this learning experience. The excitement in the class is amazing!
