Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I play music with my 21 kindergarten students in East Harlem and the tape recorder I have is one I borrow from my co-worker next door. I need a boom box that is a combination of a CD player and tape recorder so I can play either tapes or CDs. We sing songs, the alphabet, tape of ourselves speaking, and listen to books on tape. Also, because I share the boombox it has a lot of wear and tear and the volume switch is nearly broken making the sound horrible to listen to which is not good for my students when they listen to books on tape or music. Because I have to borrow the teacher's next door it is not as convenient as having my own. Now that we share having to give it back becomes bothersome and we end up missing out on activities because the other teacher needs it. I would love to have a new boom box for my own classroom that we can call our own. Thank you.
