Bookshelves for Bookworms!

Help me give my students an updated, kid-friendly library! Our current bookshelves are falling apart and splintering. New bookcases would help create an organized and safe reading environment!

My Students

Kindergarten is the first school experience for many of my students. I like to think that I am teaching my students to love learning.

My hope for my students is to build a strong foundation for their education to build upon.

My classroom is full of young, eager learners from various socioeconomic backgrounds. They love to listen to stories, browse books, and be creative through building and drawing.

With all of the technology available to children these days, emphasizing the importance of reading and learning through reading can be a challenge.

My Project

I am asking for donations to create an updated and safe classroom library for my Kindergartners (and Kindergartners-to-be). My goal is to create a welcoming library area to attract and inspire these future readers! I want this area to be safe, fun, and enable the children to browse books independently.

At this time, our bookshelves are unsafe with splintering areas as well as broken shelves.

New furniture will allow me to create an inviting area for my students. Creating excitement around reading is important in our technology-rich world. My hope is to teach my students to love reading books and using their imaginations to explore literature for years to come!
