Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In a classroom full of dynamic second graders, there are students with big personalities. Always eager to learn, my 23 second graders come to school with big smiles. When reading, my students love to explore a variety of genres from fables to biographies. They are hard working students who love to read all types of books.
My students are curious beings who love to learn through the knowledge of books.
As a result, their classroom library is full of leveled books on topics and genres that intrigue all 23 students. They love their classroom library and put it to very good use!
My Project
My students have an engaging classroom library full of books they can read and enjoy, but we are running out of space to put our books! The organization of the books is intentional. The books are categorized by reading level, genre, and topics; however, we need the extra storage space to keep it this way.
It is important to keep the classroom library organized in order to help the students find the books they want to read.
With the help of an additional bookshelf, my students will be able to continue enjoying their reading time while also helping maintain the library organized.
