Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are at a Title I, low-income school, and many receive free or reduced-price lunches. Despite these challenges, they have very creative, inquisitive minds and are always excited to find new ways to learn. They love completing projects with a group or individually because they can express their individuality. They come to school excited and ready to learn.
The students I work with are excited to learn and love new experiences.
I am excited to continue encouraging their love of learning and reading by bringing new items into the classroom. This is a great way to keep them engaged and help foster their love of learning. My goal is to create a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
My Project
Good books help create better readers. Help me get books for our classroom library that will take students on adventures and spark their imaginations. Diving into a good book and not wanting to put it down is one of the joys of reading.
By giving students a variety of books we are allowing them to explore and discover new worlds!
