This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help build our new and improved first grade classroom library! This project will give us so many new books featuring protagonists of color!

The books we are requesting highlight the beautiful racial and cultural diversity in our classroom and community.

My students will love reading stories about children that look like them and their friends. They love learning about each other's cultures and traditions, which these books will bring to life. A diverse selection of books is a gateway to open minds, and better reading skills. My students will love getting their hands on these uplifting stories and beautiful picture books.
